About Me Unabridged

I see myself as a very project-oriented individual. Be it work, study or personal life I deal with things in project format, meaning I see things in groups of activities. I can't tell you why, it's just the way things have always been. I have an addictive personality - when I start to research a subject I want to know everything. When I start reading the work of a particular author I have to read it all. But at the same time I'm a product of the wiki-generation. I follow links. If one project leads to another I have to know what's in that direction too.

Because of my fairly substantial intake of general information I welcome the promise of a semantic web. Bring on the agents. Unfortunately at the same time I'm what I like to call a practically anchored optimist. I don't foresee the possibility of a semantic anything really, until our machines start to be something resembling "intelligent". If this really is the AI complete future remains to be seen.

As is probably apparent from my Twitter feed (available in the sidebar) I enjoy tech immensely. If it has buttons, or any other interface really, I’ll usually be interested. This occasionally leads me astray - anyone remember the APS camera? It also brings my huge amounts of joy.
